As many a fashion icon will tell you, there’s hotels and then there’ Claridge’s. The legendary Mayfair hotel has announced it's annual fashion Christmas Tree 2019 is to be designed by Diane von Furstenburg which she has named as ’The Tree of Love’.
Commenting on the collaboration Diane von Furstenberg said “Claridge’s is my favourite hotel in the world and my home in London. I was so excited to be invited to create its’ legendary annual Christmas Tree. My tree will be ‘The Tree of Love’, celebrating all aspects of love and life.”
The Claridge’s Christmas Tree is a seasonal London landmark, and symbolises the start of the festive season in the capital, drawing visitors and Londoners alike to admire its creative design. This is the ninth year Claridge’s has invited a distinguished guest to reinterpret the tree in their own distinctive style. Previous designers have included Dolce & Gabanna, Alber Elbaz for Lanvin and last year Karl Lagerfeld.
