Lily Cole presents WIRES
British model, actress, activist and founder of Impossible Lily Cole chose a warm and sunny morning to present her inspiring new glasses brand ‘Wires' over breakfast. True to her own personal style and beliefs the new collection is dedicated to leading a change in eyewear through its modular design and hinge technology but most of all conscious of environmental impact.
The breakfast was an inspiring mix of female personalities within and surrounding the fashion industry and arts who all embraced both Lily’s spirit and desire for ethical change as well as the new avante-garde and fashionable glasses designs that were on show.
The clever range is based on one singular frame design made from wire with a choice of interchangeable lenses. “The lenses and rims can be easily switched so you can change the look of your pair of glasses without needing to buy a whole new pair, ” says Lily, explaining how important sustainability is to the brand. Whereas the average lifetime of a pair of glasses is just over 2 years, Wires’ frames should last a lifetime.”
Round of applause to Lily for leading the way in something so fabulous and innovative showing us all we can be fashionably conscious if we put our minds to it. As they say, it feels good to do good!
