IF YOU HAD NOT GONE DOWN THE FASHION ROUTE, WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM JOB BE IN ANOTHER LIFE?
I think probably an interior designer. I’m in the process of a building project and love the design phase and chasing fabrics and colours.
CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HOW BEULAH WAS CREATED AND WHY?
Beulah was created to provide trafficked women in India with more rewarding and dignified employment that leaves them in charge of their own destinies. Both myself and Lavinia (who is my co founder of Beulah) spent 2 months working in Delhi with women who had been trafficked, and here we witnessed the power of employment to transforms lives. At Beulah we create beautiful and sustainably sourced high-end fashion products sold around the world to women wanting to look their best whilst supporting a good cause. We try and go back as often as we can; last time I visited I was 7 months pregnant!

The silhouettes are very romantic, feminine and vintage inspired..
WHAT DOES BEULAH MEAN?
The word Beulah is biblical and essentially means to ‘come out of darkness into freedom’ which is the philosophy behind the brand

For this season, for daywear there are stunning interior inspired prints, blurred florals in soft silks and chiffons. For evening wear beautiful bright tones in satins, velvet with embellishments.
ARE ACCESSORIES A BIG PART OF YOUR BRAND AND WHY
Yes, we produce accessories in particular scarves in seasonal prints. People love and buy into our prints, and this is an easy way to wear our prints dressed up or down.
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL KEY FAVOURITE PIECES THAT YOU LIVE SWEAR WEAR AND DIE BY?
I love our new pink trench from AW’18, and the cotton broiderie ‘Pia’ dress.

David Walliams, as I think we’d have a similar sense of humour, my grandmother who passed away as she was the kindest lady and like my second mother. And Jesus, because I’d love to meet him!

We empower vulnerable women through the provision of employment and strengthen ancient techniques in order to help break the cycle of poverty, without compromising on the quality. We utilise fashion as a means to create positive change. 10% of our profits are re-invested in the lives of the most marginalised women in the communities where we operate, to help rehabilitate and build a life free from slavery and full of promise.
IS THIS JUST A PERSONAL PASSION AND MISSION OR HOW DO YOU HOPE THE HOPE THE INDUSTRY VIEWS YOUR ROLE IN THIS?
It started as a personal passion, but it’s more becoming about connecting and inspiring; our vision is to build a community of women with shared values and passions, connecting our consumer to the realities of modern day slavery and providing her with a way to help eradicate it.

Fashion and Interior magazines such as Veranda (love the Hamptons style) and travelling such as Rajasthan, India a few years ago, the wallpapers and interiors of hotels were so unique and inspired our next SS collection
